Published by the Institute for Worldmaking, Dua Express is a bilingual (Ar/En) 78 card deck that celebrates the profound power of ancestral manifestation, prayer, and supplication rooted in the Arab world.
Each card in the deck features a ‘dua’ represented through a computer-generated, AI-informed futuristic flower. These unique designs are crafted to guide users on their personal journeys of dreams and imagination.
Whether used for individual reflection, daily inspiration, meditation, or as a collective tool for storytelling and speculation, Dua Express creates a bridge between the mystical past and a visionary future, providing a transformative experience for all who seek guidance.
It was launched through an immersive installation as part of the HOW TO TIME TRAVEL exhibition at MMAG in Amman.
The cards are activated through an interactive exhibition in Amman featuring 78 animated flowers from the Dua Express deck overlaid with the sounds of traditional prayer reciters reading secular prayers written specifically for this work.
The work is collective in nature, and provides a safe space for a younger generation to come to terms with their spiritual indigeneity that is connected to the fiction of the universe.
